More Camping

This will be a record camping and hiking year. We have three major hikes planned and we are now up to eight camping trips. The number of trips will go up as we have not booked anything for September and October which we normally take at least one trip in each month.

Our camper George (yes, we named him) will be busy this year!

2015 Hiking Plans (Update)

Our reservations for camping are in for our three-day hike on the Ozark Trail and another three-day hike on the Superior Hiking Trail. We nailed down our Michigan hiking plans with a two-day hike on a loop that combines one day each on the North Country Trail and the Manistee River Trail.

We are so charged up for hiking, come on summer!

The Tent

After some research we have decided upon a tent. We purchased a Big Agnes Copper Spur UL3. 

We have set the tent up in our living room finding assembly fairly easy and typical for a tent of this kind. We bought the three-man tent so we would have enough space inside for sleeping comfort and our gear. More practice in set-up is needed, our living room does not have any weather related issues such as wind and rain!

 

Our first camping trip is May 1, just the month after next!!
