About

UPDATE (June 2018): Due to various reasons, injury and age (mine), we are curtailing our hiking dreams. We still enjoy hiking and will do so by day hiking. We still enjoy the outdoors and look forward to exploring trail and forest as we continue camping. We moved up to a Class C camper this month from a pull behind (George) and look forward to camping in as many different places around the US, particularly the Midwest.

We are John and Michelle. We love camping, hiking, good grilling and fun places. Currently we have Freedom Elite 24 FE ( Sir George) which we upgraded from Viking ST-2108 Pop-up camper in 2018. After marrying in 2010, I introduced Michelle to camping, starting with tenting. Our first big trip was to South Dakota, The Badlands and Custer State Park. We then traveled south and spend a few days at Rocky Mountain State Park. In 2012 we again tented, mostly in Wisconsin.among other places.

In 2013 we purchased George, a popup camper, and took our long trip eastward to Smoky Mountain National Park, Hungry Mother's State Park in Virginia and Cooper's Rock State Forest in West. Virginia.

After day hiking on the Appalachian Trail at Smokey Mountains NP, we got the hiking bug. We have day hiked in Minnesota on the Superior Hiking Trail and the Ozark Trail in Missouri. While we have all the equipment we have yet to stay over night on the trail yet. We hope to do so in 2016.
